VISTAS Artist of the Week in Scotland On Sunday

Scotland On Sunday, 2 April 2017, Vistas

Penicuick indie-rock outfit Vistas have built up an impressive following since forming last year.

Single launches at Edinburgh’s Mash House and Electric Circus sold out and the band have been heard on Radio Scotland and Amazing Radio.

Boasting a singalong sensibility which lightly nods to The Strokes, Snow Patrol and the Arctic Monkeys, the four-piece have also been garnering interest further afield, thanks to inclusion on several highly regarded Spotify playlists. Their recent release, Feel Alive has been played more than 200,000 times, taking the total number of streams for their songs past 500,000.

Their next gig will be at Edinburgh’s Liquid Rooms on 21 April, playing our (free) Wide Days showcase (Vistas Tickets Here) along with former Under The Radar act The Vegan Leather and Declan Welsh. From our point of view Vistas are set to go far.

TAMZENE Artist of the Week in Scotland On Sunday

Scotland On Sunday, 26 March 2017, TAMZENE

TAMZENE is a 19-year-old singer-songwriter from Cromarty in the Scottish Highlands.

Despite her tender years, there is considerable industry buzz around the young multi-instrumentalist – and it’s not surprising.

Recorded and produced by Joe McAlinden and mixed by Grammy award-winner David Donaldson, TAMZENE’s debut single ‘Lullaby’ is released on 7 April through Belladrum Tartan Heart Festivals’ newly formed label – Belladrum Records.

Featuring her soulful voice, and well-honed pop sensibilities ‘Lullaby’ is a stunning debut and we predict big things.

Since she started busking at the age of 14, she has played at Loopallu, Belladrum, and Groove Cairngorm Festivals as well as venues in Leeds, where she’s studying music. TAMZENE showcases at music business convention, MUSExpo in Los Angeles on 30 April.
