Iconic Edinburgh venue The Queen’s Hall presents an incredible programme of live music spanning Folk, Trad, Jazz, Classical, Rock and Indie as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year.

Hailing from the Isle of Mull, Sorren MacLean is the newest signing on Highlands label Middle of Nowhere Recordings and his EP ‘Way Back Home’ is released tomorrow Monday 9 March.

A talented and versatile musician, he has performed on over 20 albums; including recordings by King Creosote [with whom he toured with in February] and Mull Historical Society . He’s also co-writer for Idlewild front-man Roddy Woomble’s solo LP ‘The Impossible Song and Other Songs.’

His music features on E4’s Beaver Falls, the BBC 2 nature documentary Hebrides and the children’s TV show Katie Morag [via his song-writing partnership with Donald Shaw of Capercaillie .

Sorren who is now on tour with Idlewild, has truly mastered his craft; and is in high demand as a songwriter and performer. We look forward to the release of his new album, ‘Winter Stay Autumn.
