Originally from The Three Towns area, northwest of Kilwinning, indie-pop band November Lights now live and study in Glasgow.

The young trio have supported bands like Fatherson and The LaFontaines and we first encountered them at the XpoNorth festival then again in August via youth music touring initiative Hit The Road.

Their catchy new single ’A.U.X’ is an excellent indication of what to expect from their EP ‘Talk’ due out at the end of next month.

In support of the release of th EP, the band embark on a mini-tour, performing at Cafe Drummonds in Aberdeen on 9 December at The Hug and Pint in Glasgow on 10 December and at Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh on 11 December. Retro Video Club and Audiokicks join them on tour.

LAURENCE MADE ME CRY Artist of the Week in Scotland On Sunday
Scotland On Sunday, 7 August 2016, Laurence Made Me Cry

Laurence Made Me Cry is the songstress, artist and multi-instrumentalist Jo Whitby, who is based between Glasgow and the Highlands.

We first encountered LMMC’s electronica folk at the XpoNorth Festival in June, and witnessed another impressive set on the XpoNorth Seedlings stage at the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.

Whitby has been picking up plays from the likes of BBC 6 Music, Vic Galloway and Roddy Hart on BBC Radio Scotland, Amazing Radio and has supported artists like Gulp and Rae Spoon. The artist was also nominated for a Welsh Music Prize for her crowd-funded debut album ‘The Diary Of Me.’

Her latest EP, ‘Titans’ Daughters’ features collaborations with artists like Rachel Sermanni, Chrissy Barnacle and producer Simon Parton and the results are sublime.

UK and European tour dates are to be announced very soon. To listen and find out more:
