Dundee's Charlotte Brimner has come a long way since her early acoustic compositions, and is now making waves on both sides of the Atlantic. In the spring she took part in SXSW Interactive, demonstrating a new instrument she has developed with Cambridge scientist Kate Stone, before heading off to LA to begin work on writing music for films.Back home, she used her recent T In The Park performance to re-launch as Be Charlotte marking her move into an electronic sound, which blends loops, vocals, beat-boxing and rap.More festival performances are due to follow at Wickerman Festival this Saturday [25 July] and Doune The Rabbit Hole a month later, with booking agents already taking a keen interest.Although not yet officially released, her self-produced track Discover has been picking up plays on XFM. It provides an excellent snapshot of her talents, demonstrating a pop sensibility, which clearly establishes her as a success story in the making.Listen at https://soundcloud.com/becharlotte Olaf Furniss and Derick Mackinnon run the Born To Be Wide music business events visit www.borntobewide.co.uk For consideration as our artist of the week or any other news please contact: Derick Mackinnon
