Read on Scotsman.com [in association with Musician' Union] DENI SMITH Artist of the Week in Scotland On SundayWe first encountered singer-songwriter Deni Smith performing at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival in August on her 19th birthday. The musician started out performing covers on YouTube and gradually began gigging live around Fife. She’s played the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, supported more established artists such as Fatherson, Mull Historical Society, Sinderins and Model Aeroplanes and recently released a single, Bring Back The Sun, which is bound to get stuck in your head thanks to the catchy singalong chorus. She tours this week as part of youth music initiative Hit The Road, headlining at home on Friday at PJ Molloy’s in Dunfermline, followed by gigs at The Stove in Dumfries and Oran Mor in Glasgow, with Elia Davidson and Rebekah Kirk.
