Fairways are an incredibly promising indie-pop quartet taking inspiration from 1980s synth-pop, and the guitar-led anthems of the early noughties. Hailing from Falkirk, the band consists of Jamie Greenaway, Patrick Gillooly, Mark Adams and Ross McRitchie; they create melodic, feel-good songs, bound to get your body moving.
They’ve previously been championed by Jim Gellatly via Amazing Radio, supported US pop rock group Iglu & Hartly, headlined King Tut's Summer Nights Festival and performed at multi-venue festival Tenement Trail. As a 12-year-old, lead singer / songwriter Jamie Greenaway was in an acoustic duo that supported The Proclaimers.
Their debut EP Social Norms covers various societal issues, youthful struggles, the dating scene in your 20s and it was self-released on Friday. Stand out singles include Read Your Mind, Dopamine and Infatuation. The band just announced a headline gig at Glasgow’s McChuills on 26 July full info visit https://linktr.ee/fairwaysband
