Read on Scotsman.com [in association with EmuBands] INKKE Artist of the Week in Scotland On SundayScotland On Sunday, 14 August 2016, InkkeProducer Inkke (aka Russell Patterson) has been carving out a respectable name for himself on the Glasgow scene, running his FWDK club night at Glasgow School of Art and providing local DJs with a steady stream of music.Meanwhile, further afield his own sets have been aired on everything from NRK (Norway’s equivalent of the BBC) to Prague station Radio Wave.Previous offerings boast a sparse electronic sound which strays into jazz on the track Euphoric Acid, and incorporates elements of early nineties rave on Hardcore. And while his most recent ep, Secret Palace, continues the minimalistic tendency, it has a playful, sound-design componentRecently released on LuckyMe Records, it is a further seal of approval coming from the team which launched the careers of leading Scottish electronic acts Hudson Mohawke, Rustie and S-Type. Inkke is also due to appear on the bill of the label’s festival extravaganza, which takes place at Edinburgh’s Sneaky Pete’s venue on 19 August.
