Edinburgh act The Deadly Winters boast a folk pop sound guaranteed to appeal to fans of the Waterboys [whose singer Mike Scott also hails from the capital]. With two albums to their name since forming in 2011, the five piece have played several key events including Celtic Connections and Dougie Maclean’s Perthshire Amber, as well as enjoying airplay on several BBC Radio Scotland shows.Their latest EP is released on Friday 6 November and in an exclusive preview, the video for its title track Table In The Corner, is unveiled to Scotland on Sunday readers today Arguably their strongest song to date, its appeal elevates them beyond the folk circuit and establishes The Deadly Winters as a serious prospect for both daytime radio and mainstream festivals.
