Roma Rose
Featured by BBC Introducing, BBC Radio Scotland, Amazing Radio and loads more Roma Rose is a talented pop-folk, singer songwriter based in Edinburgh.
Most recently she played the BBC Upload stage (only 6 acts were chosen from thousands to perform), and her brand new single Earned Me is out today (Friday 12 November 2021).
The song is an empowerment ballad about self worth, about having the courage to ask for more and knowing it’s never too late to change your life and rebuild. Inspired by one of Rose’ close friends (with her permission), in her early 30s, in a casual relationship. For a long time, her friend convinced herself that was happy with the lack of commitment, but in reality it was destroying her confidence.
Written and produced by an all female team with Roma, long time collaborator Jess Sharman (Gabrielle Aplin, Ward Thomas) and Jennifer Ann Keller (Astræa/Ward Thomas), the track features stripped-back vocals and an ethereal production, complete with delicate harmonies and subtle percussive details.
