Born and raised in the small Highland village of Glenuig, Arbor Green is the moniker of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ali Begg.
Debut album As We Grow is set for release later this year and has benefited from a growing list of well known contributors performing on the record, including Beldina Odenyo (Heir of the Cursed/Kobi Onyame), Hannah Fisher (King Creosote), Brian McApline (Session A9/The Pearlfishers) and James MacKintosh (Shooglenifty/Transatlantic Sessions).
The live lineup (whenever that’s once again a possibility) consists of Begg, Thomas Caldwell, Sam Bradley and Simon Gibb
As We Grow deals with devastating and heartbreaking subject matter, as Begg comes to terms his mother’s long struggle with mental illness, eventually taking her own life in 2015. It’s unquestionably a sad record, but it’s also at times, hopeful and filled with nostalgia and warmth. Find out more https://www.arborgreen.co.uk/
