Singer songwriter Gerry Cinnamon rose to prominence in 2014 with the song Hope Over Fear, ending the year with a sell-out show at King Tut’s. In May he released the excellent Kampfire Vampire [video below or http://bit.ly/1O1robl] on Glasgow label First Run Records, played a series of pop-up gigs and then appeared to a rapturous audience at T In The Park.Blending a catchy acoustic guitar style, harmonica, loop pedal and a voice which makes you want to sing-along, Cinnamon recently launched a crowd-funding campaign to raise funds to record his debut album. Due to run until the end of the month, it is already well on its way to doubling the target, and has spawned some rather interesting cover versions. A nationwide tour of intimate venues begins on 1 October in Greenock, which is followed by Kilmarnock, Aberdeen, Dunfermline and Edinburgh, before closing in Dundee on 11 October. Based on his work so far, Gerry Cinnamon is set for great things.Listen https://soundcloud.com/gerry-cinnamonmusic Video:Olaf Furniss and Derick Mackinnon run the Born To Be Wide music industry seminar evening.
