Golden Teacher are a six-strong live dance, techno, experimentalist, punk, DIY collective based in Glasgow. Their diverse musical backgrounds result in a mix of dance music and heavy hardcore to create something very interesting indeed.Front-woman Cassie Oji [the only native Glaswegian] is a multi-lingual singer and sings in Spanish on two of the four tracks on their new EP ‘Sauchiehall Enthrall’ released this month.Forming in 2013, they have released music via Glasgow institution Optimo and their debut album is due out on 5 September with a single being released via Soul Jazz Records in October.The sextet play Glasgow’s Platform on 19 September and several UK dates supporting ESG.
