With a guitar sound likely to appeal to fans of Rage Against The Machine and Queens of The Stone Age, Huxtable are one of those duos who manage to create a sound much meatier than the sum of their parts.Hailing from Kilmarnock where they respectively run a studio and work as a chef, the band have a support for local legends, Biffy Clyro to their name, and have also played throughout Scotland.Huxtable are currently putting the finishing touches to a single, Favourite Thing, mastered by Frank Arkwright, who has worked with artists including Arcade Fire, Snow Patrol, Elton John and Mogwai. And the forthcoming release boasts the studio skills of JP Reid, sometime collaborator with Biffy’s Simon Neil.Later this month, the band take to the road again with dates confirmed for Edinburgh’s Electric Circus (20 May), Perth’s Twa Tams the following night and the Big Barn Rally in Stockport (28 May). In the meantime, we particularly recommend checking out the tracks Shut Up and Attack.Listen at https://soundcloud.com/wearehuxtableyouarenot Olaf Furniss and Derick Mackinnon run the Born To Be Wide music industry social events and seminars www.borntobewide.co.uk Under The Radar new music column is in association with Lindisfarne Festival for more information visit www.lindisfarnefestival.com * For consideration as our artist of the week or any other news please contact: Derick Mackinnon
