Words by Derick Mackinnon and Olaf Furniss. Read on Scotsman.com
We first encountered 19-year-old singer-songwriter Katie Gregson-MacLeod last year, performing via youth music project Musicplus+ at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.
Hailing from Inverness, the young artist released her self-produced (something she taught herself to do during lockdown) debut single Still A Sad Song last month. It’s a promising calling card, and she also filmed an accompanying lockdown music video - the only person in the film, she plays all the instruments visit https://youtu.be/m17LgaF4FcY or play ⬇️
There has been no shortage of support either, with airplay from Roddy Hart on BBC Radio Scotland, Vic Galloway for BBC Introducing and Rachel Kennedy via BBC Radio Nan Gàidheal. Jim Gellatly played her single on Amazing Radio and excellent Highlands blog, podcast and promotions outlet NetSounds premiered the video.
