We’ve long been fans of Roy's Iron DNA who have an uncanny knack of creating compositions, which are both atmospheric and engaging.Their latest album, Exposure, sees the band team up with film makers from around the world, to create a video for each track, with one set to be uploaded onto the act’s website www.roysirondna.co.uk every day from yesterday. Moreover, 10,000 copies of a special newspaper will be distributed through 250 locations in Scotland, enabling readers to scan a code and play the clips on their phones. The first is directed by polish artist Piotr Piasta [piotrpiasta.com] , who has been documenting the aging process in rural communities, while the final video coincides with the release on 1 June. A secret launch gig will take place near Berwick-Upon-Tweed on 6 June and includes an exotic meat barbecue, a screening of the films and live performances. Roy's Iron DNA then play Edinburgh’s Mash House on 13 June and the Audio Soup Festival [17-19 July].Olaf Furniss and Derick Mackinnon run music industry night Born To Be Wide visit www.borntobewide.co.uk For consideration as our artist of the week or any other news please contact: Derick Mackinnon
