Glaswegian songwriter and composer, C Duncan releases his latest single Here To There on Brighton-based FatCat Records on 27 April, with his debut LP due in summer. A classical music upbringing - both his parents are classical musicians - and a love for indie and alternative artists is evident in the 26-year-old's song-writing, with lush orchestral arrangements, multi-layered instrumentation, witty lyrics and glorious multi-part harmonies. With a session on Radio Scotland's Culture Studio under his belt, a BBC 6 Music playlisting, C Duncan is attracting attention in the right places. In addition to his compositions, he is also a visual artist, creating the artwork for his music releases. Fresh from playing a stunning show at Tallinn Music Week and confirmed for various summer festivals, his next live performance is a free showcase at our www.widedays.com convention at Edinburgh's Pleasance Theatre on Friday.
