Henry and Fleetwood is a songwriting partnership between Martin John Henry and Gillian Fleetwood, who met while supporting Agnes Obel in Europe.Their debut EP ‘On The Forest Floor’ is released tomorrow on Olive Grove Records .Former frontman of De Rosa, Henry has released four albums and collaborated with King Creosote, Malcolm Middleton and author Michael Faber. Fleetwood learned her craft in Inverness performing Scottish traditional music and touring the world with harp duo The Duplets and has worked with State Broadcasters and Mr McFall’s Chamber. The results of this chance collaboration are wonderful; synthesisers, harp and guitar intertwine, building layer upon layer of ambient, cinematic sounds, laced with Henry’s distinctive Scottish tones and beautiful boy/girl vocal harmonies. It’s a stunning debut. The duo’s next live performances include Brew At The Bog Festival, near Inverness 2-3 May and 9 May at The Summerhall in Edinburgh.Olaf Furniss and Derick Mackinnon run music industry night Born To Be Wide which takes place on the first Thursday of the month at Edinburgh's The Electric Circus visit www.borntobewide.co.uk For consideration as our artist of the week or any other news please contact: Derick Mackinnon
