Read on Scotsman.com [in association with Tribe Tattoo] THE CALM FIASCO Artist of the Week in Scotland On SundayWith the release of the stomping Lose Control in 2016, The Calm Fiasco appear to have signalled a move into a more robust direction, opting for a chunky, riff-laden sound and (hopefully) a departure from the lad pop of their earlier days.Having garnered a fair amount of media mentions, last year also saw the band perform at some of Glasgow’s more respected venues – including ABC, St Luke’s and Broadcast – as well as playing the King Tut’s New Year’s Revolution and the multi-venue Tenement Trail extravaganza.Next month they embark on a series of dates across the UK to promote their forthcoming EP, The Fear, which is released on Chewy Records on 24 March. These begin at Inverness’ Madhatters on 11 March, and are followed by dates in London, Newcastle, Sheffield and Manchester. In the meantime, we recommend giving the track Just Don’t Care Anymore a blast. https://soundcloud.com/the_calm_fiasco/just-dont-care-anymore Under the Radar is in association with Tribe Tattoo to find out more visit www.tribetattoo.co.uk >Olaf Furniss and Derick Mackinnon run music industry social and seminar night, Born To Be Wide.
