Glasgow quartet Weekend Debt have been causing a stir this year thanks to sold-out hometown shows and pre-lockdown airplay from BBC Introducing on BBC Radio Nan Gaidheal, Amazing Radio courtesy of Jim Gellatly and on community station Pulse 98.4
The young band were scheduled to tour the UK last month, including a slot at the Stag & Dagger Festival. They did perform a live-streamed set on the original dates, and will play the real-life shows (subject to restrictions being lifted) on 27 September for Edinburgh and 29 November in Glasgow.
Their latest single Legato has received over 40,000 plays owing to a growing online fanbase and being featured on Spotify playlists The Indie List, Scotify and Hot New Bands. Also, check out the band’s Facebook page for their La Chunky Studios session from February, which includes a previously unreleased track Censored, and a brilliant cover of The Prodigy’s Omen https://www.facebook.com/weekenddebt
