The Rah’s, Scotland On Sunday, 28 June 2020

If Kasabian and The Cult lived in Prestonpans and had just spent a year in the studio, then the result would be The Rah’s. The East Lothian band, whose three founding members attended the same nursery, primary and high schools, have been making waves with a meaty rock sound, leading to support slots for The View and The Fratellis, as well as heading forth on tours of the UK and Ireland. And their latest single, The Time Is Now, is further evidence that they are worth their salt. A thundering anthem, it has already been played by some prestigious tastemakers including BBC Radio Scotland’s Vic Galloway, Radio X’s John Kennedy and Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, not to mention ending up on several Spotify playlists. An accompanying video is imminent and the release of an album is set to follow towards the end of the year. In the meantime, keep an eye on their activities at www.therahs.co.uk
