Josephine Sillars
We have featured Josephine Sillars in our column in The Scotsman as a solo artist as well as more recently in our Scotland on Sunday column with her previous band, The Manic Pixie Dreams.
Originally from the Highlands but now based in Leeds, she is set to release the debut single Enemy from brand new EP Desperate Characters on 15 January.
Sillars secured funding from Help Musicians' Do It Differently Fund to produce "a concept EP and an exploration of the social and political climate we've been faced with over the last year." Throughout the first lockdown she conducted interviews over Skype with people all around the UK, and each song from the EP is based on these interviews, Enemy is the first of those tracks.
