Arbor Green
Born and reared in the small Highland village of Glenuig, Arbor Green is the moniker of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ali Begg.
As We Grow deals with devastating and upsetting subject matter, as Begg comes to terms with the death of his mother, who ended her long struggle with mental illness when she took her own life in 2015. Unquestionably a sad record, refusing to shy away from grief, loss and hardship it is also at times hopeful and filled with nostalgic warmth.
Their debut single Margaret is a bittersweet and contemplative take on loss and ancestral resonance and was released on 1 January 2021.
