It was back in 2017 when we first featured ONR (aka Dumfries-based songwriter Robert Shields) in our Scotland on Sunday column. Fast forward to present day and he’s been doing incredibly well. His previous release was the outstanding Kill TV (listen on Spotify ⬇️) featuring the legend Nile Rodgers
His latest single Must Stop features Sarah Barthel of Phantogram and it is every bit as infectious. The song landed on Billboard’s top 10 Cool New Pop Songs, Spotify New Music Friday and has so far clocked up over 2million streams across platforms, with placement on Apple New Music Daily, Hot List from BBC Introducing and Radio.com’s Pick Of The Week.

On 16 December 2020, ONR and Phantogram will perform a stripped-back version of Must Stop as part of DC101’s “DC101derland” alongside Smashing Pumpkins, The Killers and Royal Blood.
