Self-described as ‘alt soul’ Glasgow songwriter Russell Stewart’s 2019 release ‘Midsummer’ clocked-up over 800,000 streams, gained attention right across the Scottish music scene.
New single ‘Citrus’ which was released last month has been played nearly 30,000 times and sees Russell exploring different directions and embracing change, having reflected on a tumultuous 2020, “it’s a song of self-acceptance, about letting go of doubts and inhibitions and finding your zest for life.”
Citrus was produced by Roan Ballantine and Stuart Ramage of vanives.
