We first met Joshua Mackenzie as frontman to promising Inverness band Lional.
His latest offering is The Joshua Hotel, a fantastically lo-fi, electro solo project he recorded in isolation at his rural home studio. Debut single The Moments was released earlier this month and has already clocked up airplay across the BBC, with BBC Rapal, Vic Galloway, BBC Introducing in Scotland with Phoebe I-H and Shereen Cutkelvin all playing the song. He’s also been featured by Jim Gellatly on Amazing Radio and NetSounds. The album, chronicling personal loss and coping with the pandemic, is due out later this year, keep an eye ⬇️
