Now living between Germany and the UK, Inverness singer-songwriter James Mackenzie has been on our radar for a couple of years now, having toured with fellow Highland acts Skerryvore and Runrig as well as Newton Faulkner and Manfred Mann’s Earth Band.
Radio support has come courtesy of BBC Radio Scotland’s flagship culture programme The Afternoon Show as well as BBC Introducing, Jim Gellatly on Amazing Radio and numerous German stations too.
Thanks to a loyal fanbase, Mackenzie crowdfunded his forthcoming album The Honeymoon. It’s his strongest material yet, a mix of super-catchy anthems and expertly penned ballads with beautiful boy/girl harmonies, and it could well see him break out. Recorded in the UK, Germany and the USA (with Matt Noveskey from Blue October producing) you can listen to rock-pop gem Heart’s On Fire at https://ffm.to/vwrrdr0 find out more https://www.jamesmackenziemusic.co.uk
