We’ve been fans of Randolph’s Leap for many years, a mammoth eight-piece band headed up by core songwriter, guitarist and frontman Adam Ross. The rest of the band consists of; Ali Hendry (trumpet), Andrew MacLellan (guitar), Adam Armour-Florence (drums), Fraser Gibson (trombone), Heather Fox (violin), Pete MacDonald (keyboards) and Vicki Cole on bass.
Over the years they’ve released music via respected Scottish labels such as Fence Collective, Olive Grove Records and Lost Map, with their excellent new album Spirit Level, released last month via ace London-based label Fika Recordings
Fun polyphonic songs and sounds, just like their photos and art, the music is colourful, vibrant and upbeat, some highlights include singles Serious, BHM and Moment Passed. They’ve been championed by our sister title The Scotsman, as well as The Quietus, performed several Marc Riley sessions on BBC Radio 6 Music, played festivals like Green Man, Indietracks, The Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and they've toured with The Burning Hell and James Yorkston.
