Hailing from the Isle of Mull, Sorren MacLean is the newest signing on Highlands label Middle of Nowhere Recordings and his EP ‘Way Back Home’ is released tomorrow Monday 9 March.A talented and versatile musician, he has performed on over 20 albums; including recordings by King Creosote [with whom he toured with in February] and Mull Historical Society . He’s also co-writer for Idlewild front-man Roddy Woomble’s solo LP ‘The Impossible Song and Other Songs.’His music features on E4’s Beaver Falls, the BBC 2 nature documentary Hebrides and the children’s TV show Katie Morag [via his song-writing partnership with Donald Shaw of Capercaillie .Sorren who is now on tour with Idlewild, has truly mastered his craft; and is in high demand as a songwriter and performer.
