Hailing from Dumfries, we first featured Alex Maxwell as our Artist of the Week in our Scotland On Sunday column back in 2017 (he was also among only a handful of artists to receive positive feedback from the A&R panel at Wide Days that year too). He’s been championed by BBC Radio Scotland, the Afternoon Show with Janice Forsyth and Grant Stott, Amazing Radio, BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson, Fresh On The Net, and performed at Edinburgh Festival Fringe as well as local festivals / conferences including Dumfries Music Conference and Eden Festival.
